Clients often ask us about coverage, planning, timing, deliverables, and what to expect on event day. With decades of experience behind the camera, we're happy to share what we know and help set every project up for success. Here are some of the questions we hear most often.
We'll start by understanding what you're filming, how much coverage you need, and what you want the finished video to accomplish. That may include complete keynote or presentation coverage, a recap of the event, interviews, social content, or a combination of deliverables. From there, we can recommend the right approach and put together a proposal around your needs.
It depends on the size and complexity of your event. A single camera operator can be ideal for smaller events, while larger conferences and events with multiple locations or several hundred attendees may benefit from two or more. For full keynote or presentation coverage, we typically recommend two camera operators so one can concentrate on the presentation while another captures audience reactions, movement, details, and additional angles.
Absolutely. We regularly customize coverage around multi-day events, multiple locations, presentations, attendee experiences, and other event priorities. The size of the crew can be scaled to match the event.
Corporate projects are typically completed within three weeks or less. If you have a specific deadline or need content turned around more quickly, let us know when we plan the project.
Yes. One shoot can support a variety of deliverables, from full presentations and longer-form edits to event recaps, interviews, highlights, and social content. We'll talk through where and how you plan to use the footage so the finished content works harder for you.
We've worked throughout San Diego and Southern California and are familiar with many of the area's leading hotels, conference centers, and event venues. If a location is new to us, we'll familiarize ourselves with it in advance so we're prepared when filming begins.
Timeless, natural, and photojournalistic. We want your film to feel just as meaningful years from now as it does today. Our approach incorporates cinematic storytelling without overproducing the day. We focus on genuine moments, real emotion, and the people and details that make your wedding uniquely yours.
One of the compliments we hear most often is how discreet we are. We don't want you thinking about the camera all day. We work from a comfortable distance whenever possible, anticipate moments before they happen, and allow the day to unfold naturally.
Many couples book six months or more in advance, and some reserve their date more than a year ahead. We also regularly accommodate weddings booked within a few months of the event when availability allows.
Both can produce a beautiful wedding film. A single videographer is often a great fit for a more streamlined event or budget. For larger weddings, multiple locations, or couples who want more angles and a more cinematic level of coverage, we generally recommend two camera operators.
In addition to your highlight film, our primary wedding packages include a cleaned-up documentary edit of the day rather than requiring you to purchase all of that coverage separately. That means you can relive much more than just the highlight, including major moments from the ceremony and reception and the meaningful footage in between. We capture and deliver in 4K.
Our typical turnaround for weddings is approximately eight to ten weeks. Many packages also include a one-minute trailer delivered within about 10 days so you have something to enjoy and share while your full film is being completed.
Your finished film can be delivered through our digital viewing platform, making it easy to share a direct link with family and friends near or far.
Yes. We encourage couples to help guide the music selection, and we'll help you choose from properly licensed music that fits the tone and emotion of your film.
Yes. We work directly with your planner or coordinator on timelines, schedules, and important details so your video coverage fits naturally into the day. After decades in the Southern California event industry, we can also recommend trusted professionals if you're still building your vendor team.
Very. Taylor Films has extensive experience within San Diego's Jewish community and with the traditions, timing, and priorities that are part of Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations. That familiarity allows us to anticipate important moments instead of simply reacting to them.
Absolutely. Every family, congregation, and synagogue may approach filming differently. We plan coverage around your traditions and level of observance, including situations where filming during the service is restricted or where portions of the service need to be captured during a rehearsal instead.
Yes. We're familiar with the important moments surrounding Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and Jewish celebrations, and we understand how those traditions can vary from family to family. We'll talk with you in advance about the moments that matter most so we're prepared to capture them naturally and respectfully.
First and foremost, your child. We capture the energy of the party, family, friends, dancing, details, and all the moments happening around them, but we never lose sight of whose milestone we're there to document. Our approach is natural and discreet, with an emphasis on genuine interaction rather than staging moments for the camera.
Discretion is a big part of how we work. We stay out of the way, anticipate moments as they happen, and avoid turning the celebration into a production. The goal is to capture your child being themselves with family and friends so the finished film feels like the event you actually experienced.
Every wedding, corporate event, and celebration is a little different. If you don't see your question here, we'd be happy to talk through it with you and help determine the right approach for your event.
